Pathfinder came to life in 2006 as an initiative made by Arkadiusz E. Ruth – bass player and composer. The main idea behind the band from its very beginning had been the combination of film music, classical music and a wide scope of metal. Compositions are written for choir, orchestra and opera vocal performers.
After few years of composing solo and searching for proper musicians, Karol Mania joins the band – a guitarist and amazingly versatile composer. Both gentlemen perfectly understand each other’s vibe and match other as composers creating the backbone of Pathfinder. Kamil Ruth took the place of the drummer. For him it became a crucial step in his personal and musical development. New compositions had been made and practiced. Shortly after Slavomir Belak (keyboard) and Simon Kostro (vocals) join up. A time filled by systematic begins for all and after half a year it results in the group’s first concerts. During this time Gunsen joins the crew and brings an intense, fresh flow of stylistic and musical innovations related to progressive rock.
At the moment, after tour with Paul Dianno in 2009 Pathfinder is negotiating with music industry representatives interested in producing the band’s debut album.
